Corporate Philosophy

Since 1961, Edwards Moving & Rigging has worked hard to establish itself as a company committed to excellence in the heavy hauling and rigging industry. We built the company with a three-fold corporate philosophy designed specifically for the benefit of our clients. We’re proud to say that, over the years, we’ve maintained these principles and they continue to be an integral part of our company culture and work philosophy.

We strive to provide our customers with safe, timely, cost effective, quality work.

SAFETY

The foundation of our commitment is to perform each job in the safest manner possible. We believe all accidents are preventable, and we are committed to the safety of our employees and the employees of our clients, as well as the safety of the general public, and the cargo in our care.

Radiological personnel barriers (dog houses) are placed on these steam generators at a nuclear facility in preparation for a safe barge load. Edwards crew members hold a daily safety briefing to discuss the day's planned route and potential hazards. By preplanning with engineers and crew, Edwards is fully prepared for emergencies, road construction and other potential hazards in the transport process. An effective synergy between Edwards and state and local officials is critical to any move’s success. Our decades of experience, have helped us fine-tune processes for emergency preparedness, utility work, bridge engineering and other pieces of the puzzle that make our moves successful.

QUALITY

Our commitment is to offer our clients the best in quality heavy hauling and rigging. From state of the art, well-maintained equipment to committed personnel, Edwards has the qualities that ensure this high standard of excellence.

To test lift a gantry, 1,200,000 lbs. of counterweight were transported down a 6-degree grade using our 15-line, double-side, self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. This 355,000 lb. transformer was one of four offloaded from a railcar and transported up a 7% grade in a rural mountainous location using our 12-line self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. This 238,000 lb. boiler hopper panel was transported on our 9-line double-wide, self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. With the center of gravity being offset, 150,000 lbs. of counterweight were added to stabilize the load for transport.

SERVICE

Our service has resulted in a large number of repeat clients. Edward’s personnel bring a "can do" attitude to every job we do. This positive approach leads to excellent corporate morale and a satisfactory relationship with our clients. Our personnel have hundreds of years combined experience performing a wide array of job tasks in multiple settings and it's precisely this experience that allows us to provide you with the highest level of service.

When a transformer failed on a holiday weekend, Edwards mobilized and... When a nuclear power plant had an emergency situation, Edwards mobilized overnight.
